National Children's Month

The 2025 National Children’s Month Celebration with the theme “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” reminded us that children’s safety today is no longer limited to the streets or homes, it also includes the online world. As technology becomes part of everyday life, children are more exposed to online dangers such as abuse and exploitation. This year’s celebration helped raise awareness about these serious issues and encouraged everyone to take part in protecting children’s rights and well-being.

The government plays an important role in keeping children safe by creating laws and programs that focus on child protection. Through measures like the Anti-OSAEC-CSAEM Act and national campaigns, the government shows its commitment to stopping online abuse and holding offenders accountable. Agencies also work with schools, communities, and families to educate them about online safety and how to report suspicious activities. These efforts help ensure that children’s dignity and rights are respected.

Overall, the National Children’s Month Celebration is a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility. While the government provides laws and programs, parents, schools, and communities must also stay alert and supportive. By working together, we can create a safer environment, both online and offline where children can grow, learn, and feel protected.
